Day 157
Día 157

A co-worker brought me some "tunas" or prickly pears because he knows I like them. They remind me of growing up and passing by areas that grew them. I remember throwing big rocks to knock them off the cactus leaves. I usually would throw the rocks hard enough to split the prickly pear. No matter what I always got spines on my hands. Last night we ate some and spent a good deal of time picking them off our hands and I got a couple on my toungue. Anyway the prickly pears were delicious (eventhough people at work did not like them). I guess that means I get more. I'll try to make some salsa from the cactus leaves and take them to work.

Saw this peacock on the way home today. It posed for a picture.
Me dejó tomar ésta foto.

Beautiful late afternoon shots! Sorry, they taste too much like watermelon for me. I WANT to like them, but alas, my palate does not.

Katie,
Alas the palate dictates, I'm glad ou tried it. I love those things. Marcus sent me an email asking me how to make cactus salsa, we'll see if he makes some and how it turns out.

Have a good weekend.
